| Lowering screen resolution and color depth |
| |
| Solution: |
For those users that do not know how to set their display to the optimal setting for DVD-Video, here is how to do this: - Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel.
- Double click the Display icon.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Lower the screen resolution to 800x600 pixels, and the color depth to 16 Bit High Color
- Apply the settings without restarting.
- Try the DVD again and see if playback is restored.
Depending on your hardware, you may be able to run video at a higher resolution, but for testing purposes the settings recommended above work the best across most systems. |
