| InterActual software can normally automatically detect which DVD Decoder is installed on your computer. If you have more than one accidentally installed, or have loaded different decoders on your machine in the past, the InterActual program may detect the wrong decoder. If you know which DVD decoder you have installed, you may force our software to use a specific DVD decoder by doing the following: PCFriendly Users: - Go to the Settings dialog by clicking the Settings button on the left side of the interface.
- Select the Configuration tab.
- In the DVD Navigator (For Advanced Users Only) section, select your DVD Navigator. This is usually either the name of, or the manufacturer of, your DVD playback software. use the System Info utility included with PCFriendly and refer to information in the MPEG/DVD section to identify your DVD program. If none is detected, visit our Links page for a listing of supported decoders.
- Once you make your selection, click OK to exit the Settings option.
- Click the OFF button once to exit PCFriendly, so the changes will take effect.
- Relaunch PCFriendly and try playback again.
InterActual Player Users: - Run InterActual Player from the icon on the desktop.
- Click the "Configure" button on the top bar of the player. This has a "Hammer and Wrench" logo.
- Select the Settings tab on the panel that appears.
- Locate the "Select DVD Navigator" option, and select the DVD navigator that corresponds with your DVD software.
- If you do not see it listed, click the "Help" button to open the Help panel. This has a "?" icon. Click the System Profiler selection and view the DVD Decoder information that InterActual Player is detecting on your system. If none is detected, visit our Links page for a listing of supported decoders.
- Click the Apply or OK button, and restart InterActual Player.
