Note: The Harry Potter features are not accessible under the Macintosh OS. InterActual-enhanced DVD titles, also known as DVD-ROM titles, include added-value features provided by studios to their customers. These features typically contain HTML content interacting with DVD-Video playback. These HTML pages may be stored locally on the DVD, or reside online at a studio website. The inclusion of InterActual-enhanced ROM content will not affect the playback of DVD-Video from within the Apple DVD Player (assuming your machine is capable of it). However, depending on several factors discussed below, your ability to use the ROM content may vary based on title. InterActual has two products, InterActual PCFriendly and its successor InterActual Player 2.0. InterActual PCFriendly had limited Apple support, and certain titles were released with limited Apple DVD-ROM capability. With the release of InterActual Player 2.0 and its increased DVD-ROM capabilities, Apple support was dropped primarily for the two reasons outlined below: 1) Apple's DVD implementation does not allow DVD-Video to be embedded within an HTML page. There is no mechanism (API) for displaying DVD-Video any place except within the Apple DVD player. Apple does not provide a method by which DVD-Video can be embedded within an HTML page as is possible on Windows-based computers. 2) Apple provides limited support of external DVD playback control. As a direct result of #1 above, the only way to play back DVD-Video within the Mac OS is by using the Apple-supplied DVD Player controlled via AppleScript. Not all versions of the Apple DVD player support AppleScript consistently, and therefore do not provide the advanced control required for many DVD-ROM features. Back To Top - How To Find Harry Potter Deleted Scenes

III. Harry Potter DVD Video Issues- Video Freezes Within the InterActual Player on Disc 2
On the second Harry Potter disc, when playing video through the InterActual Player, there are three places in video that may hang for up to a minute under Windows XP. These are: - The brick wall in the Diagon Alley section
- The first book in the Library section.
- The Catch the Golden Snitch game.
To resolve these issues, there are two options available, either of which will fix the problems listed above. The first option is to download the latest version of the InterActual Player from - http://player.interactual.com . This is a 4MB download. The second option is to download and update file for Windows XP from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];Q320552 . This is a 493Kb download. Please follow the important instructions for downloading and installing the file that are on the page. Either or both of these upgrades can be downloaded and installed to correct the issue. - Catch the Golden Snitch Game on Macintosh Computers

IV. Year One Extra Credit- Extra Credit Issues
- Error Messages
- When trying to access the Extra Credit section, you encounter a ONEVOICESTT.OCX error message.
We are currently investigating the cause of this issue, however it may be caused by having an outdated audio card driver installed. The best recommendation is to obtain an upgrade from your system or hardware manufacturer. - When trying to access the Extra Credit section, you encounter the following script error:
An error has occurred in the script of this page. Line 67 Char 2 Error: object doesn't support this property or method. Code 0 Url: file://E:\common\win\harrypotter\menu_lang\english\voicecomp.html This error can be caused if the features from disc 2 have not been installed. You need to run the installer from Disc 2. You should get the Play/Close InterActual Player prompt when you reinsert the disc. If you do not, then you must Explore the directory of the DVD and double click the Install.exe icon. Back To Top
- OneVoice Voice Command Software
- Accessing OneVoice Command Features
- How do I speak to the Special Feature disc? - You must run through the microphone setup wizard before using any of the features in the Extra Credit section with voice command.(For troubleshooting problems in the wizard, please read on further in this section.)
- When speaking through the microphone, use a clear, slow, normal voice. Make sure that the voice recognition feature is enabled by saying "microphone on."
- To find out what commands you can use in a particular part of the Extra Credit section, say "What can I say?" (Please note that once any of game demos or tours in the More Stuff section are accessed, the microphone will turn off. If it does not turn back on when you finish with the feature, simply say "microphone on.")
- Audio Performance Adjustments
- Within the OneVoice setup wizard, you can adjust the sound settings manually by using the Recording settings button.
 1) Microphone - Click on the Microphone button to the right to calibrate your microphone for recording.2) Recording Volume - Leave the Microphone button active from (1) and keep speaking into the microphone and adjust the volume by sliding the pointer on the bar from left to right. Ideally, the sound control should only stay in the green area. If it does go into the yellow or red areas, then the volume is too high, which can be fixed by sliding the pointer on the bar to the left until the volume goes back down again. 3) Silence detection level - You have to stop speaking for this test. This will allow the program to optimize for the background noise level. Once the blue line is still, drag the pointer to the end of the blue line, where it meets the white part of the bar. - Also, sound settings can be adjusted or fine tuned through the Windows Volume Control, which looks like either a yellow or grey speaker in the bottom right hand corner of the system tray, next to the clock. Just double click on it to adjust your Windows audio settings. If you need assistance in understanding what a setting does or how to set them, please contact your system manufacturer for assistance.
- Hardware Setting/Driver Issues
- If everything is set up properly and your voice is still not recognized and are getting an echoing effect, make sure that the Chorus/Reverb settings for your sound card are disabled in the proprietary software for your sound card. The following are instructions for setting Chorus and Reverb on the Creative SoundBlaster line of cards with the AudioHQ software. If you have a different manufacturer of sound card or setting structure, please contact the manufacturer of the system or hardware.
To Access the AudioHQ control panel, double click on the icon in your system tray, next to the clock. Open the EAX Control Panel, by double clicking on the icon. Go to the Source tab. Make sure that your source is set to Microphone. Make sure that the Reverb and Chorus settings are set to off or all the way to the left on the slide bar. - Who do I contact regarding my sound card or drivers? - You will need to contact the manufacturer of your system or the manufacturer of the sound card for assistance in installing drivers or troubleshooting Windows settings for your sound card.
