| This is caused by changes made by Macromedia to the latest version (version 8) of their Flash Player plugin software. By default, Flash Player 8.0 (and higher) prevents content developed under older versions of Flash (version 7 and earlier) from launching Web pages stored locally on your DVD and it also prevents the Flash movie from calling Javascript functions. The content on some DVD's requires this functionality. The error message that affected users will see is shown below:
Due to a limitation in the Flash plugin, it's possible that clicking either of the buttons in this error will have no effect. To correct this problem, please download the latest version of InterActual Player for Macintosh, and follow the steps below: - If the image file does not automatically run when downloaded, double click the *.DMG file to unpack the InterActual Player application. Discard the older version.
- Download the updated Flash trust file, by holding down the Alt/Option key and clicking here. This will automatically save the file to your desktop. The name of the file is "InterActual_Global.txt"
- Copy this file to the following folder: /Users/<your account name>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#Security/FlashPlayerTrust
- Double click the InterActual Player icon to launch InterActual Player.
You should now be able to use Flash-enabled content properly in InterActual Player. |
